This was the second in the series ofs uch workshops scheduled across the country.2 . Theo bjectiveo f the programme was tocreate a general awareness aboutIntellectualProperty (IP), the a dvantages and needof Small and Medium Enterprises( SMEs) t o protect their own IPs and also not infringing IP that belongs to others. It wasalso the objective to apprise the participants about the procedures for securing IP, waysand means of effectively using IP and abut steps that can be taken against infringemento f their IPRs.3 . Them ethodsu sed consisted of( i) s howing a film on SMEs and IPRs( ii) p resentation of power point presentations, and( iii) Interactive sessions where participants were encouraged to sharee xperiences and ask questions about IPRs.4 . Thel ist of participantsi s attached( A nnexure 1).5 . Thep rogrammec om menced at 10:30 a.m. and concluded at 5:00 p.m.At theoutset,Mr. M.S. Dhakad gave a brief background about the UNIDO-ICAMT programmeandthe necessity of SMEs obtaining IPR awareness. H e also apprisedthe participantsofUNIDO-I CAMT project to launch a website devoted to IPR issues of SMEs. TheC onsultant then made his presentations. Copies of the presentations are attached.6 .
