any public body or any political subdivision or by any one under contract for publicworks," approved June 26, 1941, codified as amended, 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq. (1993),formerly Ill. Rev. Stat., Ch. 48, par. 39s-1 et seq. andWHEREAS, the aforesaid Act requires that Community Unit School District <strong>No</strong>. <strong>100</strong> ofthe Counties of <strong>Jersey</strong> and Greene investigate and ascertain the prevailing rate of wagesas defined in said Act for laborers, mechanics and other workers in the locality of saidCounties of <strong>Jersey</strong> and Greene employed in performing construction of public works, forsaid Community Unit School District <strong>No</strong>. <strong>100</strong>.NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OFCOMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. <strong>100</strong>:Section l: To the extent and as required by "An Act regulating wages of laborers,mechanics and other workers employed in any public works by State, county, city or anypublic body or any political subdivision or by any one under contract for public works,"approved June 26, l941, as amended, the general prevailing rate of wages in this localityfor laborers, mechanics and other workers engaged in construction of public workscoming under the jurisdiction of Community Unit School District <strong>No</strong>. <strong>100</strong> is herebyascertained to be the same as the prevailing rate of wages for construction work in the<strong>Jersey</strong> County area as determined by the Department of Labor of the State of Illinois asof June of the current year a copy of that determination being attached hereto andincorporated herein by reference. As required by said Act, any and all revisions of theprevailing rate of wages by the Department of Labor of the State of Illinois shallsupersede the Department's June determination and apply to any and all public worksconstruction undertaken by Community Unit School District <strong>No</strong>. <strong>100</strong>. The definition ofany terms appearing in this Ordinance which are also used in aforesaid Act shall be thesame as in said Act.Section 2: <strong>No</strong>thing herein contained shall be construed to apply said general prevailingrate of wages as herein ascertained to any work or employment except public worksconstruction of Community Unit School District <strong>No</strong>. <strong>100</strong> to the extent required by theaforesaid Act.Section 3: The Community Unit School District <strong>No</strong>. <strong>100</strong> Clerk shall publicly post orkeep available for inspection by any interested party in the main office of CommunityUnit School District <strong>No</strong>. <strong>100</strong> this determination or any revisions of such prevailing rate ofwage. A copy of this determination or of the current revised determination of prevailingrate of wages then in effect shall be attached to all contract specifications.Section 4: The Community Unit School District <strong>No</strong>. <strong>100</strong> Clerk shall mail a copy of thisdetermination to any employer, and to any association of employers and to any person orassociation of employees who have filed their names and addresses, requesting copies ofany determination stating the particular rates and the particular class of workers whosewages will be affected by such rates.
