After that, we have a nice chat. I leave the soup kitchen<br />
content.<br />
I may return to the soup kitchen when I’m pinching<br />
pennies, or not. My life may be this tough, since I’m living<br />
a creative lifestyle of my unconscious choosing.<br />
But now, I’ve gained insight from my soul-searching<br />
journeys, leading me to remember that I’ve lived a pathless<br />
path since I was born. I grew up needing to develop<br />
faith and grasp the universe, to sustain a questioning<br />
mind, because I was adopted. Hope weaved the fabric<br />
of my identity.<br />
Some days, I get worried. But then I look up, reminded<br />
of something greater than me at work.<br />
I sit on my roof some nights, staring up at the<br />
stars.<br />
I am certain my faith will move me, from here, even<br />
without a plan.<br />
I was born with the will to live and I will survive these<br />
penniless years.<br />
And I think I’m Taoist, by the way.<br />
