Itmust instead complement the existingdwelling and respect neighbouringproperties.3.3 New extensions should effectivelybe incorporated into the existing urbanfabric hence they should respect buildinglines and the pattern of buildings andspaces.3.4 In some instances, it may not bepossible to design an acceptableextension due to the sensitivity of the site,limited space, or the relationship withneighbouring dwellings.Extensions should be subordinate and positioned to not dominatethe street scene22
