Istand a chance of working in any institution. Since bothprogammes are human related.An effective and efficient administration is the engine ofevery public institution. As I was growing up, it has alsobeen my dream to find my self in a place where systemswork. A working environment where high productivityis the main objective. I was very fortunate to do mynational service in an institution with these qualities asan Administrative Assistant. I found the job very excitingand challenging since I was made to actually put systemsin place to run the department.As a professional in the field of Administration, I hadalways desired to acquire more experience in the fieldin addition to upgrading my academic competence.But my work schedule made it almost impracticable.However, with the recent introduction of a weekendMaster’s degree programme at the University of GhanaBusiness School, I knew it was opportune.The Public Administration class is a small class ofabout fifteen students with dedicated lecturers whoare all professionals in the field. A course like Ethics inAdminstration is one of my favorite courses. It introducesus to ethical challenges we face as public administratorsand ways we can curb or manage these challenges whenwe are confronted with them.I am very passionate about this programme becauseI have the desire to help change certain unethicalpractices that exist in the public sector of this country.With my experience and skills in Public Administration,additional knowledge at the Master’s level and moreespecially a sound education at the University of Ghana Iknow I would do exploits.156 2013/2014 Univeresity of Ghana Prospectus
