In2004, Professor Larkin was appointed as Principal (CEO) of the Australian Institute ofAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies. In 2009 Professor Larkin took up the positionof Pro Vice-Chancellor – Indigenous Leadership with Charles Darwin University, the firstIndigenous person to hold such a position within an Australian university. Professor Larkinis currently a member of the Board with beyondblue, the national depression initiative,served as Chair of the Indigenous Higher Education Advisory Council during 2009-2012, wasa member of the panel for the National Review of Indigenous Higher Education during 2011-2012 and is a current member of the First Peoples Education Advisory Group, the NationalAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Higher Education Council, the Healing Foundation, andthe Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education Governing Board.Michael KiddFlinders UniversityProfessor Michael Kidd AM is Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (includingthe School of Medicine and the School of Nursing and Midwifery) at Flinders University. He isa general practitioner and President of the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA).He chairs the Australian Government’s Ministerial Advisory Committee on Blood BorneViruses and Sexually Transmissible Infections, and is a director of several organisationsincluding beyondblue, General Practice Education and Training (GPET) and TherapeuticGuidelines. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Lowitja Institute, Australia'sNational Institute for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Research.28
