<strong>Insight</strong> <strong>Apprentice</strong>ship Programmes2 Programmes available to <strong>Insight</strong>1. Rotational Programme – (30 Months) The apprentice will study the BusinessAdmin NVQ and rotate every 10 months to a different department.2. Department Specialist Programme – (30 Months) The apprentice will study theBusiness Admin NVQ within one department and choose specific modules forthat specialism.MAXIMIZING YOUR BUSINESS ADVANTAGE

How will it work?Who’s involved/ Who’s responsible?• <strong>Apprentice</strong> Co-ordinator/s – Katy Waldron/Katherine Sage will lead, co-ordinate andensure the smooth running of the <strong>Apprentice</strong> Programme• Each <strong>Apprentice</strong> would need an:• Internal mentor• External mentor (training provider)• NVQ Work Assessor (external)• Line Manager• Buddy• Internal Mentor is needed for each apprentice, this is a excellent opportunity for a teammatewho is looking for extra responsibility in their role (development opportunity). Carefulselection of the Mentor is essential.MAXIMIZING YOUR BUSINESS ADVANTAGE


How will it work? …continued• Mentor <strong>Scheme</strong> – All teammates can volunteer themselves to become an apprenticementor. They will then take part in an mentor assessment centre• The <strong>Apprentice</strong> Co-ordinators select mentors• Line Manager - The managers will manage the apprentice daily and the mentor will act as acoach and help with development and company welfare• Each apprentice will be set tasks and goals for each placement by the line manager• External Mentor - The apprentice is given an external mentor, who will visit every 2/3weeks. Time scales can be tailored to work around us• External NVQ Assessor - will come every 3 months to evaluate NVQ status with the<strong>Apprentice</strong> and Internal mentor• Buddy – Previous apprentice to guide and support on an informal basisMAXIMIZING YOUR BUSINESS ADVANTAGE


How will it work? …continued<strong>Apprentice</strong> Review/Appraisal process• At the end of every placement, the <strong>Apprentice</strong> will have a 10 month appraisal. They will berated EE/ME/MSE/IR• The appprentice will deliver a presentation to a panel. The panel will consist of Mentors,Line Manager, Co-ordinators and Senior HR Representatives and/or Director/VP/MD• The <strong>Apprentice</strong> will present an overview of what they have learnt during the 10 monthdepartment placement• The panel will review the performance of every apprentice and produce a performanceevaluation sheetMAXIMIZING YOUR BUSINESS ADVANTAGE
