Butte County Sheriff - Coroner’s OfficeCHAPTER 3LAWS GOVERNING MASS FATALITY MANAGEMENTA- PurposeAn event within Butte County that produces an overwhelming number of deathswill require the coordination and participation of local and state agencies, thefederal government, and private organizations in order to assist and support theimpacted local Sheriff-Coroner. Knowledge and understanding of applicablelaws and government codes is essential in effectively and lawfully managing thiscoordinated response.
