The narrowdesign is only 26 inches wide with two (2) standarddepths, depending on whether you want a one-highor two-high design. The two depths can vary slightly,depending on the rear access desired. The standardof 72 inches directly replicates the floor space neededfor the older magnetic equipment offered by severalmanufacturers. This is generally used in one-highdesigns. In two-high designs, 84 inches should be usedwherever possible. This allows enough room in the rearcell for cable termination.SAFETYAll <strong>PowlVac</strong>-ND® breakers utilize closed door racking.When the breaker is in the bottom location, it rolls intoplace without the need of a lifting device. High Operation BreakerIn your distribution system, the metal-clad switchgear circuit breaker is the most significant component. The<strong>PowlVac</strong>-ND® offers the reliability and stability of the <strong>PowlVac</strong>® using less space. At 5kV, the narrow design breakermeets and exceeds the ANSI requirements of 10,000 Ops. It is available with continuous current ratings of 1200 or2000 Amperes with interrupting ratings of 36 and 50kA.
