Courses are offered at AMEScentres, workplaces and community venues and throughdistance education and home tutoring.The NSW TAFE Commission (TAFE NSW) is a networkof Institutes offering vocational education training. TAFENSW courses are delivered on campus, flexibly in theworkplace or remotely, often by the internet. In 2007 therewere approximately half a million enrolments in TAFE NSWinstitutes. TAFE NSW goals are to provide the skills andvalues for innovation, growth, prosperity and social cohesionand to deliver a dynamic and responsive system of publiceducation and training.The TAFE Commission Division is a Division of theGovernment Service, established on 17 March 2006 pursuantto Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Public Sector Employmentand Management Act 2002. The Division is a not for profitentity with the objective of providing personnel services to itsparent the NSW TAFE Commission. The Division commencedoperations on 17 March 2006 when it assumed responsibilityfor the teaching, educational and Institute Management staffand related employee related liabilities of the NSW TAFECommission.A.C.N. 093 230 374 Pty Ltd (formerly TAFE Global Pty Ltd)is a wholly owned entity of the NSW TAFE Comission. On 31August 2006, the Director-General announced his intentionto transition the activities of TAFE Global Pty Ltd into a newlyformed International Business Office of the Department andto wind up TAFE Global which is now registered as A.C.N.093 230 374 Pty Ltd.
