Itsfounder, King Cyrus, is therefore calledan "Anointed (Messiah) of the Lord"in the Bible (Isaiah 45 : 1 ) .Shortly afterward, India brought forththe famous King Ashoka, who was guidedsimilarly by Buddha's teachings.Certainly, not all the inhabitants ofthese two empires were saints; it wasrather their founders' wholehearted commitmentto the spiritual values whichmade their respective empires so outstanding.Considering these historic facts, itshould not surprise us to see in our daysin India, Iran, and Israel, forces workingfor reviving those countries' rich spiritualtreasures in order to make them oncemore fruitful for all mankind. Fromthese three countries sprang forth all thereligions of our present world, and thesethree countries when linked in their effortand tasks will again become a spiritualsource for a world to come.
