ONCE PRINTED, THIS PAGE MUST NOT BE RETAINED FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.BEFORE USING, MAKE SURE THIS HARD COPY IS THE LATEST ISSUE.(a) Pull the handle.(b) Connect the towbar head to the nose landing gear tow fitting.(c) Release the handle to lock the towbar head to the NLG tow fitting.(7) Connect the other end of the towbar (GSE 027) to the tractor.C. Towing with Towbar(1) Make sure that the emergency/parking brake is released.CAUTION: THE MAXIMUM SPEED RECOMMENDED FOR AIRCRAFTTOWING IS THE WALKING SPEED. A TECHNICIAN MUSTCOME ALONG WITH THE AIRCRAFT TO PUT WHEELCHOCKS AGAINST THE WHEELS AFTER COMPLETIONOF THE TOWING OR IN CASE OF AN UNEXPECTED STOP.IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, DAMAGE TOTHE AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.(2) Tow the aircraft slowly straight ahead before you try to turn.NOTE: If during the towing operation the towbar head (GSE 026)shear pin is broken, do an inspection of the NLG for damageand replacement of the shear pin.(3) Brake Assembly - Inspection (Figure 203)WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS IN A SAFECONDITION BEFORE YOU DO THE MAINTENANCEPROCEDURES.
