Paint For Life Foundation<br />
Vor mehr als zehn Jahren lernten wir die <strong>one</strong><br />
<strong>world</strong> <strong>foundation</strong> bei einem Aufenthalt in der<br />
Bogenvillya kennen, damals noch mit dem Schulgebäude<br />
direkt am Meer.<br />
Die Idee des „Reisen bildet“ in seiner Mehrdeu tig -<br />
keit war seiner Zeit weit voraus: Niemand gebrauchte<br />
das Wort „Nachhaltigkeit“, um das Konzept des<br />
Nutzens für alle – BesucherInnen der Bogenvillya<br />
und Schüler/innen der <strong>free</strong> <strong>education</strong> <strong>unit</strong> – zu<br />
beschrei ben. Diese Vision der <strong>one</strong> <strong>world</strong> <strong>foundation</strong><br />
war und ist stets spürbar und inspirierte uns zur Idee<br />
von PAINT FOR LIFE: Künstler/innen zu vernetzen und<br />
damit Bildungsprojekte zu unterstützen. Wir sind<br />
stolz darauf, damit einen kleinen Beitrag zum Gelingen<br />
der <strong>free</strong> <strong>education</strong> <strong>unit</strong> leisten zu können.<br />
Den Mut, Visi<strong>one</strong>n zu kreieren, und die Hart -<br />
näckig keit und Tatkraft, diese in Realität umzusetzen,<br />
haben Kathrin Messner und Joseph Ortner über viele<br />
Jahre hinweg unter Beweis gestellt. Wir gratulieren<br />
Kathrin Messner und ihrem Team herzlich zum<br />
<strong>15</strong>-jährigen Bestehen und wünschen der <strong>one</strong> <strong>world</strong><br />
<strong>foundation</strong> eine kontinuierliche und spannende Wei -<br />
terentwicklung!<br />
We discovered the <strong>one</strong> <strong>world</strong> <strong>foundation</strong> over<br />
ten years ago while staying at Bogenvillya,<br />
which at the time still had the school building next<br />
to the sea.<br />
The idea that “travel educates” in all its ramifi -<br />
cations was far ahead of its time: no <strong>one</strong> used the<br />
word “sustainability” to describe the concept of utility<br />
for all – visitors to Bogenvillya and students in<br />
the <strong>free</strong> <strong>education</strong> <strong>unit</strong>. This vision by the <strong>one</strong> <strong>world</strong><br />
<strong>foundation</strong> was and is tangible and inspired us to<br />
create PAINT FOR LIFE to bring artists together in<br />
support of <strong>education</strong> projects. We are proud to have<br />
made a small contribution in this way to the success<br />
of the <strong>free</strong> <strong>education</strong> <strong>unit</strong>.<br />
For many years Kathrin Messner and Joseph<br />
Ortner have shown the courage to create visions<br />
and the tenacity and energy to put them into practice.<br />
We congratulate Kathrin Messner and her team<br />
on the <strong>15</strong>th anniversary of the <strong>one</strong> <strong>world</strong> foun dation<br />
and hope that they will continue to develop dynamically.
