Thecharacters on this disk define andreproduce the cylinders setting at will. The profiles on the plenum arefastened by rivets for suspendedceiling applications and by a centralscrew for gypsum ceilings.Method of operationThe eccentric cylinder, aided by theprofiles, create a strong stream, dragging in the air. Near the cylinder'ssurface, an air depression takes place. In this manner, exiting air from the slotflows out steadily and changes directionwithout hindering the low soundpower. Simultaneously, an importantinduction of ambient air takes placewith the exiting air zoneThe positioning of the eccentriccylinder permits the adjustment of theair blast without levelling off, with orwithout reducing the exiting airsection. To maintain the air blast's consistencyand direction perpendicular to thecylinder's axis with the most regularitypossible, the cylinder has smallprofiles that direct the air stream.Mode of operationSetting air blast directionDue to the depression zone around theeccentric cylinder, the air flow directionis adjustable in a 180° range. For everydirection, there are two cylinderpositions (with section "reduced" or"not reduced"). This is illustrated in thefollowing diagram. If diffusers arefree-hanging, the air blast direction isalways such as indicated on thediagram. When installed flush withceiling, with an active cylinder length of300 mm, under-the-ceiling airflow willtake place by Coanda effect in cylinderpositions EF, F6, 1A, AB and 21, 32, 54,65. The cylinders, each individuallyadjustable, are 100 mm in length. The result is a seemingly infinite quantityof airflow combinations. At theplant, cylinders are normally set atalternating positions 1A and F6(diffused mode). This setting provides ahigh induction airflow that can beprovided even with high cooling loadsand high air changeover figures.2 1.1.3 SAL 35Subject to technical changes.
