In September 2009, Christ
the King and St. A u g u s t i n e ’s
in Wiesbaden jointly started
the LGBT Listening Ministry
in the spirit of the Listening
Process promoted by the Lambeth
Conference.
Since then we have met
at a monthly pace (usually
on the first Thursday of the
month) either in Wi e s b a d e n
or Frankfurt to share the
experiences of lesbian, gay,
bisexual and transgender
people in the church comm
u n i t y. Many other members
of the community have
also joined us, who feel
the importance of building
bridges in an open but respectful
way, based on our
common faith and love for
Christ and with the support
of our clergy who often celebrate
the Eucharist with
those present.
For the meeting on 2 December
2010 we are planning
a 1 year anniversary
celebratory evening, starting
with a brief Eucharist led by
Carola+ followed by a gettogether
with finger food,
drinks, chat and music.

A c t u a l l y ” , s t a r r i n g H u g h
Grant, Emma Thompson, Keira
Knightley, Liam Neeson
and others.

In London, Christmas is
coming and the people in this
story have love on their minds.
Some have found love; some
have lost it. Some accept their
loneliness; others live in hope.
Even the new British Prime
Minister's thoughts are not
always on his job because
love, actually, is all around us.
Each story is linked in some
way except for Billy Mack
and his manager, who are not
friends with any of the characters;
however, he appears
frequently on characters'
radios and TVs; his music
video provides an important
plot device for Sam's pursuit
of Joanna; the pair also cross
paths with the other characters
in the closing Heathrow scene.
John and Judy work for
Tony who is best friends with
Colin who works for a catering
company that works at
the office where Sarah, Karl,
Mia, and Harry work and
also catered Peter and Juliet's
wedding. Mia is friends with
Mark who runs the art gallery
where the Christmas off i c e
party takes place. Mia also
lives next door to Natalie.
Mark is in love with Juliet
and friends with Peter. T h e
couple are friends with Jamie
and Sarah. Harry is married
to Karen who is friends with
Daniel, and Karen's brother
is David who works with
N a t a l i e .
Since Christmas is close,
bring popcorn and drinks to
share and maybe your favorite
Christmas cookies as well.
There will be Glühwein for all.
