This year,Sleeping Bee Studio (featuring meand my husband) is No. 38 on themap. As the founder and designer, Iam so proud of our community andthe role it plays in providing richculture and art education for thisfirst weekend of March events. I’mlooking forward to spring. If you findyourself out west, come and visit!’Finally, Pete Nicks has beenhaving a terrific year with his filmabout the health-care system inAmerica, The Waiting Room. Petewrites that ‘The Waiting Room,which is now in theatres aroundthe country, was recently shortlistedfor an Oscar, which meansit made the first cut of 15 films.Unfortunately, we just missed thenomination! Nosnitching, but on Friday a cocktailparty will be hosted by your formerpresident, David Gerber, for allclassmates. No dangling chadsabout it, Gerbs has promiseda great gathering. Ahem, partyfavors pending.On Saturday, there will be a generalAssembly (maybe the ‘GleasonBell’ will ring one more time),where our whole class will give theCoggeshall Award, onstage, to DebHarrison. After the Assembly, morerumors are abounding regardingsome ’88 men taking the field for alax game. This is no chillax game,but a full on stick-dropping lacrossegame. And then if you’ve recoveredfrom the Gerbs gathering, or if youmissed it, there will be the highlyanticipated, never avoided graduatesreunion cocktail reception inthe newly renovated (and growing)Castle, followed by dinner in theCastle. No lunchtime leftovers forthis event! They haven’t promisedfor sure but have not not promisedthat there won’t be some of yourclassmates engaging in not-to-bemisseddinnertime entertainment.Hmmm, wonder what this couldbe. But this is only the shallow endof the pool.
