Welcome to Interlaken 2014Dear members and friends of the International Baptist Convention,We are so excited about what God has prepared for you during this week! Every summer lives arechanged, faith levels are deepened, and new connections are made. The IBC's Summer Experiencein Interlaken continues to revolutionize lives and strengthen discipleship, as it has for more than 50years! We who serve on the planning team know that you will be blessed by the next few days as youlearn, grow, and make new friends in Christ.This year our theme is "The Joyful Life", and is based on John 10:10. We encourage you to read thisverse throughout the week and seek God in prayer, asking Him to help you better understand what itmeans for you to have "Life to the Full" or "Life more Abundantly." Though we may be told thatChristians are always happy and never sad, stressed, or weighted with troubles, we know this issimply not true. In reality the rains, winds, and floods come both to the house built upon the sandAND to the house built upon the rock (Matthew 7:24-27). The key difference is how Christians cometo face such struggles. This week we will explore what it means to have Joy in the face of life'sunavoidable challenges.We have a number of world class teachers to lead seminars, an amazing worship team, and God-ledservants to offer morning and evening messages.
