M. GeorgeCampbell entered <strong>the</strong> servant^s house, and told him, that<strong>the</strong>y were going to take away <strong>the</strong> field-pieces.Deponenttold <strong>the</strong> said George Campbell that that was a badbusiness. Campbell replied, that <strong>the</strong>y could not helpit, as it was Captain Cameron's orders that <strong>the</strong> fieldpiecesshould be taken to his fort till <strong>the</strong> settlers leftthis country ; and <strong>the</strong> said George Campbell, at i\\t.same time, shewed deponent a pair <strong>of</strong> pocket pistols,.ifwhich he thinks was done with <strong>the</strong> intention <strong>of</strong> frightenin ghim. Deponent went out to inform Mr. Bourke, bu:could not find him. He <strong>the</strong>n saw <strong>the</strong> artillery on horsesledges,George Bannerman taking hold <strong>of</strong> a smallkowitzer, and Robert Gunn standing opposite <strong>the</strong> door<strong>of</strong> one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> store*houses with a gun across his breast,which he fired as soon as <strong>the</strong> artillery were drawn away.—Immediately Mr. Duncan Cameron, with a gun in hisliand, was seen coming out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> wood, at <strong>the</strong> head <strong>of</strong>a parly <strong>of</strong> armed men. When he came to <strong>the</strong> settlers,deponent saw him shake hands with <strong>the</strong>m, and beardhim exclaim, " Well done, ipy hearty fellows !" and ask<strong>the</strong>m if <strong>the</strong>re were any more.
