Display re a d s :• P ressing and holding the power button for 2 seconds asecond time engages Dark Mode. Display re a d s :Dim or dark can be engaged during an alert. In Dark Mode,the display goes dark for as long as a signal is being detectedand for 20 seconds after, then the display re t u rns to thedimmer setting.• P ressing and holding the power button a third timere s t o res full illumination to the display.Engaging/Disengaging VG-2See option select mode to turn this feature on.Stay Alert FeatureThe Stay Alert Feature is designed to test a driver’s alertness.To engage (when unit is not alarming):• P ress and hold City for approximately 2 seconds.Release button during or immediately after the alert isgiven. Display reads:Within 30-60 seconds two beeps are sounded; to show alertness,the driver must press either the City or Quiet buttonwithin 3-5 seconds. If the button is pressed within 3-5 seconds,the cycle is re p e a t e d .If a button was not pressed within 3-5 seconds alarm soundsand the display re a d s :• Press Power to exit.WA R N I N G ! ! !Stay Alert is NOT intended as a substitute foradequate rest.
