3–8. Phases <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> NDI <strong>acquisition</strong> process.The NDI <strong>acquisition</strong> process is composed <strong>of</strong> two phases as follows:a. Requirement definition/planning.b. Acquisition/deployment.3–9. Processing an NDI.A BOIP, if required, <strong>and</strong> an expedited QQPRI will be initiated by <strong>the</strong> mission assignee agency according to AR 71-2as follows:a. Normally only a FBOIP <strong>and</strong> QQPRI will process an NDI.b. Final BOIPFD <strong>and</strong> FQQPRI are required by CG, TRADOC 21 months be<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong> TDC or 33 months be<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong>EAD.3–10.
