InstallationCHIEGeneralTo ensure cooling of motor and electronics, thefollowing must be observed:• Place the pump in such a way that sufficient coolingis ensured.• The temperature of the cooling air must not exceed104°F (40°C).• Motor cooling fins, holes in fan cover and fan bladesmust be kept clean. When installed outdoors, the motor must be providedwith a suitable cover to avoid condensation on the electroniccomponents.SingElectrical connectionThe electrical connection and protection should becarried out in accordance with local regulations.• The pump must be connected to an external mainpower switch.• The E-pump must always be correctly grounded.• The pump requires no external motor protection. Themotor incorporates thermal protection against slowoverloading and blocking (IEC 34-11: TP 211).• When the pump is switched on via the main power, the pump will start after approx. 5 secs.Note: The number of starts and stops via the main powervoltage must not exceed 4 times per hour. The pump main power connection must be made asshown in the diagram below.TM00 8622 0101Wiring diagram1 x 208-230 +/-10%, 60 HzExternal switchNNLELCBMax. 16 APELPETM02 0792 0101Additional protectionIf the pump is connected to an electric installationwhere a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI Class B,10 mA minimum rated leakage current trip level, UL943) is used as an additional protection the earthleakage circuit breakers must be marked with thefollowing symbol.Other connectionsThe connection of external potential-free contacts forstart/stop and digital function, external setpoint signaland fault signal is shown in the wiring diagram. The earth leakage circuit breakers must trip out whenearth fault currents with DC content (pulsating DC) occur.36
