BATTERIESThe GTAx 550 is equipped with two battery packs,each holding four standard AA batteries. The detectoris also designed to use rechargeable batteries (Ni-MH). It is recommended that top quality heavy dutyor alkaline batteries be used. All adjustments orsettings you have entered into the detector will bereplaced by the factory settings when batteries areremoved for approximately four minutes or more.Although standard battery packs can be usedinterchangeably in the detector, it is recommendedthat both packs being used at the same time alwayscontain the same type of battery.
