Thin client applicationsTerminal service with Windows 2000The principle of thin client/server computingis based on the fundamentalphysical separation of data, applicationsand screen output.The terminal services of Windows 2000permit execution of specialized sites suchas Internet pads as thin client applicationsor typical office applications in themain memory of a central Windows 2000terminal server instead of in their ownmemory.Clients are operated as terminals in theprocess which are only used to enter data(using keyboard and mouse) and sendthese on to a terminal server.
