The <strong>YMCA</strong>sof QuébecJOB OPPORTUNITY<strong>Animator</strong>, <strong>After</strong>‐school <strong>Program</strong> (<strong>Computer</strong> room)POSITION OVERVIEWUnder the supervision of the Coordinator, Day Camp and Family <strong>Program</strong>s, thecandidate will be responsible to assist and demonstrate basic computer skills tochildren attending the Youth Zone (ages 5 to 12). He/she establishes and maintainspositive relationships with participants and youth program staff, and ensures thatall participants have a positive experience at the <strong>YMCA</strong>. The successful candidatewill be responsible for creating an exciting place where young people can enrichtheir computer knowledge. He(She) ensures at all times the excellence in service ofthe <strong>After</strong>‐school <strong>Program</strong>, according to the standards and practices at the <strong>YMCA</strong>.DUTIES Ensures the programming (planning and organization) and the animation ofeducational, fun and cultural activities as well as management of specialprojects.Location:<strong>YMCA</strong> Pointe‐Saint‐CharlesStatus: Part‐timeSalary: : $10,25 an hourWork Schedule :Monday to Thursday(6 hours/week)Employment Start Date:February 25, 2013Application Deadline:February 15, 2013 Facilitates and develops appropriate children’s computer activities for youth 5 to12 years old. Plans activities and leads children in computer appropriate activities. Promotes cultural diversity and respect of differences. Ensures a safe, well‐maintained and clean environment for the children. Understands and integrates the value of philanthropy in both specific positionand Association, and participate in the Annual Campaign and/or otherfundraising events.REQUIREMENTS Training in a related field (Information technology). Experience in animation and working with children. Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing in English and French. Available weekday afternoons.
