of Stappert – continue to act autonomously,
will remain legally independent
and will expand its business
on its own responsibility. My
fellow Managing Director Michael
Duckwitz and I are jointly responsible
for this. Gunter Frühling, who
together with Mr Duckwitz was a
long-serving managing partner at
Hoselmann, retired from the company
as of September 30, 2006 at
the age of 69 at his own request.

The Stappert subsidiary Fleischmann in Austria is one of the leading high-grade steel traders in
the country. Moreover, the company supplies large quantities of its steel products to Eastern
Europe. At least two good reasons to present the company to you once again in more detail here.
45 tonnes of steel are moved every day at Fleischmann
– by 14 male and female employees in two shifts. These
form part of the total staff of 50 at the newly set up
company headquarter in the Lower Austrian town of
Teesdorf. Together with their five colleagues working in
the sales office in Haid they are also pleased with the
successful track record of the company: In the meantime
the total quantity of goods handled has risen to
around 9,000 tonnes a year. These are supplied by
Fleischmann not only to the domestic market of Austria,
but also to Croatia and Slovenia, as well as the affiliate
companies in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Broad stock programme
As a full-service provider, Fleischmann provides a
complete range of products. In the new, modern warehouse
in Teesdorf the company keeps stocks not only
of stainless steels, but also heat-resistant and highly
corrosion-resistant steels. Thanks to its three powerful

Established in 1947 as Fleischmann-Stahlhandel GmbH,
the company has now been working successfully in
the steel business for almost 60 years. In 1987 it became
