has been possible in the past to carry out many “special
orders” to the full satisfaction of the customers –
whether this involved 80 excavator buckets within 3
weeks or the production of a standard bucket according
to customer specifications, including an adapter
plate and hydraulic device, within 24 hours. Of course
it is important in such cases for Reschke's suppliers
to play their part. An example of this the ABRAService
of Stappert, which guarantees the reliable supply of
wear-resistant and high-strength steels – no matter
how short the notice.
Large components for big
All of Reschke's customers are dealers who sell Reschke
products to renowned manufacturers of earthmoving
equipment: from Volvo to Mitsubishi, from
Caterpillar to Komatsu, from Liebherr to Hitachi. They
all trust the high quality and individuality of Reschke
products. And the larger the machine for which a
Reschke component is required, the more Reschke's
designers enjoy their work. “It really becomes great fun
with machines weighing 20 tonnes and up,” explains
Uwe Rehor, who within the framework of design and
production planning is happy to resort to the in-depth
production opportunities offered by the ABRAService.
Training Instead of Job Cuts
Silvia Reschke also uses unusual methods in the
organisation of her own company. While others “outsource”,
she puts her faith in the strength of the company's
own employees. Education and training are a
major priority in order to attract high-quality
employees or further the skills of the existing ones.
Many have been working for the company for more
than 10 years. “We have a healthy mixture of experienced
and young employees, which in my opinion is
the key to success,” says Silvia Reschke. We are currently
searching for additional qualified employees in
order to strengthen our design and production departments.

Plans and visions
Business is booming both at home and abroad. Today
approximately 30% of the goods produced at the works
in Hesse are sent all over the world. Russia in particular
promises a high growth potential in the future. For this
reason it has already been decided to continue expansion
of the production areas in 2008. “After that I would
like to set up a kind of research and development department
which cooperates with the technical universities
and which can therefore offer our customers
genuine innovations,” Silvia Reschke goes on, explaining
her vision for the future. And anyone who sees
how the eyes of this dynamic Managing Director light
up as she says it does not doubt for one second that
she will achieve her ambitious target.
