The <strong>Boulder</strong><strong>History</strong> <strong>Museum</strong> hosted nine <strong>Boulder</strong> Conversationswith Extraordinary People programs in <strong>2011</strong> with over750 people in attendance. The 3rd annual series washeld once a month between September and May atthe Chautauqua Community House.Sonny Flowers & BHM’s CEO Nancy Geyer1968 Program SeriesThroughout the fall of <strong>2011</strong>, in conjunctionwith the 1968 in America exhibit, the <strong>Museum</strong>co-hosted around town a series of 1968themed book discussions, laser light shows,movies, dance parties and speaker programs.Over 900 people attended these events. Theyincluded the ‘Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s’ laser lightshow, ‘Backstage Past: Talk & Book Signingby Barry Fey’ and a paneldiscussion on ‘Where was<strong>Boulder</strong> in 1968? The Groovy,The Badge, The Drafted &The Radical.’<strong>History</strong> TalksThroughout the year the <strong>Museum</strong> offereda variety of programs in partnership withthe Carnegie Library for Local <strong>History</strong>.Subjects included ‘The Holubar Family &<strong>History</strong> of Mountaineering Gear in<strong>Boulder</strong>’ and ‘Around Nederland withKay Turnbaugh.’ More than 200 guestsattended these programs.
