JIM JACOBS (Book, Music and Lyrics) Duringhigh school, Jacobs played guitar and sang with aband called DDT & the Dynamiters. In 1963 hebecame involved with a local theatre group thatincluded Warren Casey. For the next five years heappeared in more than 50 theatrical productionsin the Chicago area, working with such people as<strong>The</strong> Second City founder Paul Sills, while earninga living as an advertising copywriter. Jacobs’Broadway acting debut was in a 1970 revival ofthe play No Place to Be Somebody, followed bythe national tour. At the same time, he and Caseywere collaborating on Grease. Jacobs served asa judge on the NBC reality series Grease: You’rethe One That I Want! in 2006 designed to cast thelead roles in an August 2007 Broadway revival ofGrease via viewer votes.BRUCE LUMPKIN (Director) began hiscareer as resident director for <strong>The</strong>atre Underthe Stars. Under Tommy Tune, he worked ascollaborator on productions My One and Only,Nine, Grand Hotel and co-directed the WestEnd production of Grand Hotel.
