SYLVESTER (Managing Director)Mark’s extensive career has spanned SummerStock to Broadway as an actor, stage manager,box office treasurer, theatre manager, marketingand public relations director, and generalmanager. This season he is celebrating his 19thseason at the <strong>Walnut</strong>. After several years workingwith commercial theatre he has devoted his careerto non-profit theatre companies since 1987. Todate, Mark has been associated with more than400 stage productions. An avid collector ofmusical theatre recordings, his collection containsnearly 3,000 cast albums from around the world.Widely regarded as a theatrical marketing expert,Mark lectures and consults with organizationsinternationally. He has served on many boardsincluding the <strong>The</strong>atre League of South Floridaand the <strong>The</strong>atre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia.He currently serves on the board of the NationalAlliance for Musical <strong>The</strong>atre and the AdvisoryCommittee of Samuel French, the internationalplay publisher and licensing company. WithBernard Havard he co-authored the book <strong>Walnut</strong><strong>Street</strong> <strong>The</strong>atre, published by Arcadia Publishing.Since he joined the <strong>Walnut</strong> in 1994 it has becomethe most subscribed theatre company in the world.He thanks you for being a part of our theatre!BERNARD HAVARD (President and ProducingArtistic Director) Vox Populi (<strong>The</strong> Voice of thePeople) was written on the <strong>Walnut</strong> <strong>Playbill</strong>s inthe 1800s.
