FirstNet AccessRecent changes to FirstNetWe recently implemented some changes to FirstNet on 19 August 2011. Ifyou are currently having difficulty with your FirstNet password please readbelow.FAQsWhat are the recent changes to FirstNet?There are two main changes that were implemented on 19 August 2011.Firstly, you now need to nominate a password of your choice. When you next log onto FirstNet, if you haven’t already nominated an alphanumeric password, you will beprompted to nominate a new 8 character password that must contain both letters and numbers.Secondly, once you have nominated an alphanumeric password you will now be able to reset yourpassword online rather than having to wait for your password to arrive in the mail. Why have we made these changes? The primary reason behind changing your current numeric password to an alphanumeric password is toensure your FirstNet account is even more secure. When you nominate your new password its strengthwill be shown by the password indicator to the right of the screen. The primary reason behind the online password reset functionality is to provide you with the ability toreset your password whenever suits you.TroubleshootingMy password isn’t working? As a first step, you may want to try clearing your browser’s cache.Every web browser stores a collection of the websites you visit which can reduce bandwidth usage andserver load.
