This design does notrequire extensive wall outlets <strong>and</strong> routing of<strong>air</strong> ducts. As systems for <strong>heat</strong>ing only, or assystems that provide <strong>heat</strong>ing <strong>and</strong> cooling,these units are ideal for new build.With the Vitocal 242-S, <strong>Viessmann</strong> offers asplit <strong>heat</strong> pump <strong>with</strong> integral solar functionfor solar DHW <strong>heat</strong>ing. The cylinder capacityis 220 litres. With the Vitocal 222-S (<strong>with</strong>outsolar function), the DHW cylinder has acapacity of 170 litres.A high proportion of pre-assembledcomponents makes these compact <strong>heat</strong>ingcentres easy for <strong>heat</strong>ing contractors to install,which reduces installation costs.The Vitocal 242-S <strong>and</strong> Vitocal 222‐Sare certified in accordance <strong>with</strong> theEHPA quality seal for Heat Pumps.
