PREFACEThis booklet telling <strong>the</strong> <strong>story</strong> of <strong>Noah</strong><strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Ark</strong> is taken from <strong>the</strong> Old Testamentof <strong>the</strong> Bible, <strong>and</strong> may be read in GenesisI 6:9-9:17. It ha8 been prepared as part of<strong>the</strong> curriculum of <strong>the</strong> Advanced Writers'Workshop, held in Lubo, Tanudan ,Kalinga-Apayao, ~uguat 27-September 6, 1984.Thie <strong>story</strong> of <strong>the</strong> great flood is <strong>retold</strong> herefor <strong>the</strong> enjoyment of readers of LinurubuR alinga.Following <strong>the</strong> retelling of <strong>the</strong> <strong>story</strong> isa second rendering of <strong>the</strong> <strong>story</strong> in <strong>the</strong>ullalim or traditional Kalinga songform. An English version of <strong>the</strong> eame etorybegins on page 25.The illustratione found on <strong>the</strong> cover<strong>and</strong> pagee 2 <strong>and</strong> 6 have been adapted fromthose done <strong>by</strong> Don Canonge of <strong>the</strong> SumrerInetitute of Linguistice - Auetralia. Allo<strong>the</strong>r illuetrations are used <strong>by</strong> permieeionof <strong>the</strong> David C.
