2. All premises, including the unit, patio areas, storage shed, and carport are tobe completely vacated and cleaned before inspection will begin.3. Checkouts will be given during normal business hours.Should the tenant leave without an inspection, the tenant agrees that any and alldamage to the premises is the responsibility of the tenant and that the cost of allrepairs shall be deducted from the tenant’s security deposit. <strong>College</strong> will makewritten notice to the former tenant within ten days following his/her departureof any such damage by depositing same in the United Sates mail addressed tothe tenant at the current address on file. Failure of the tenant to provide the PostOffice or the Office of <strong>Student</strong> Services with a proper forwarding address shallwaiver the obligation of the <strong>College</strong> to notify promptly of such damage.Please be sure the premises are vacated and cleaned thoroughly prior to theactual walk-through inspection.NOTE: If you do not follow this guide line-by-line, it is likely you will not passyour inspection. Read carefully!Cleaning <strong>Guide</strong>Areas that can be cleaned a few days before move-out:1. Wash the windows and sills, cleaning the dirt from the grooves on the sill.2. Wash the walls and woodwork as needed with a liquid cleaner. Please do notuse an abrasive cleaner such as Ajax unless you find a spot that will not comeoff any other way.3. Remove heat lamp cover and wash.4. Remove the aluminum pan from the bottom front of the refrigerator andwash all surfaces behind; also wash the inside of the pan. Pull the refrigeratorout, scrub the sides, the ends of the cabinets, and the wall behind it. Scrub thefloor then push the refrigerator back in place.5. Clean the electric range thoroughly. The burned-on food will come off. Do notuse oven cleaner. Try soaking areas with burned-on food for the best results.Use a liquid cleanser and a scrubbing pad (not steel wool).a. Remove the chrome rings that surround the burners, soak, and scrub.
