The following procedures are to be followed by the customers/ representative of purchaser/suppliers etc. especially for lots at Rajhara Mines.• All the concerned persons will visit the office of Manager (Stores) i.e room no. 57 &58 at the top floor of administrative building Rajhara Mines.• After verification of necessary documents, the area pass will be recommended by theoffice of Manager (Stores) and will be issued by the office of the AssistantCommandant (CISF), situated at the same floor.• After issue of the gate pass/ area pass, the representative of disposal stores/ concernedsection will provide the necessary help/ clarification if required.• Proper records will be mentioned at the office of the Manager (Stores), Iron OreComplex, Rajhara Group of Mines36. Contractors should ensure that his workers follow all jobs specific safety precautions asinstructed from time to time by Contract Operating Authority or his representative37. If required, cutting permission may be given to the customer on his request keeping in viewsafe loading & transportation after due approval of competent authority.The loading/ gas cutting expenses so incurred within BSP premises by the successful bidderswill be added to the assessable value of material for charging taxes & duties as applicable i.e.on material value + loading/ gas cutting charges and the same shall be taxable and has to beborne by the successful bidder. The successful bidder has to indicate the loading charges /gas cutting charges (Rs./MT or per unit) in writing while depositing the payment.38. SAIL reserves the right to withdraw from the sale after advertising or after issue ofAcceptance Offer / Sale Offer / Offer Letter for any item of any quantity of thematerials by number or weight without assigning any reasons thereof to the customer.SAIL will not be responsible for any damages / loss whatsoever to the customer onaccount of such withdrawal.39. BSP SHALL LOAD THE SOLD MATERIAL TO THE CUSTOMER’S VEHICLESFREE OF COST FOR MATERIAL SOLD WHERE THE LOCATIONS AREDISPOSAL YARD AT BHILAI.40. Party shall remove and segregate refractory bricks and shift to a designated place and sameshall be handed over to the shop. Equipment such as motors, gear boxes, pulleys, electricalpanels / components etc., if any, shall be removed and handed over to the shop.c. Party shall provide PPE’s to all the workers. Full body harness with height passes to beprovided for the workers, working at height.d. The party shall be responsible to ensure proper / safe use as per electrical safety rules of BSP.e. Scaffoldings, barricading, ladders etc. required to carry out the work shall be fabricated by theparty. Material for the fabrication shall be given by BSP free of cost and same shall bereturned to BSP after use by the party at the designated place or as instructed by site engineer.f. Tools/ Tackles, consumables (Gas cutting sets, welding transformers, welding cable, gas,electrode, winch, c-block, etc.), handling and transporting equipment (hydra-moc/ crane,truck, trailer etc.) required for the job shall be arranged by the party.g. The contractor shall arrange to submit daily man power deployment report in duplicate andarrange proper supervision for safe execution of work.h. The party should employ workers designated for this job only with safety induction training.i. The party shall submit declarations for all materials brought inside the plant as per BSPnorms.j. As the job involves cutting and removal of scraps at height, party may sublet these activitiesto an experienced BSP registered mechanical contractor.k. The contractor and his workers while providing service under the contract shall ensure that noloss or damage occurs to BSP’s property. In case of any loss or damage caused, contractorshall be liable to repair / replace within a reasonable time, otherwise the cost of repair /replacement will be levied on contractor’s account.l. The party shall properly store and safe guard dismantled scrap, steel supplied for fabricationof working structure to prevent damage / loss or theft on any account. Scrap should beperiodically transported to clear the area as per site engineer’s instruction.m. Work shall be carried out as per instructions and guidance of site engineer in such a way thatoperational activities of the shop are not hampered.n. Bidder is requested to visit the site for assessment of weight of scrap, site condition andunderstand the scope of work before participating in tender.o. The party should have labour license for the man power deployed with ESIC coverage.41.3 BSP SCOPEa. Drinking water and electricity shall be supplied free of cost by BSP at suitable points. Noclaim or compensation for any failure in supply caused beyond the control of plant authoritywill be entertained.b. Electrical supply shall be given for running machines and lighting purpose at fixed pointsalready installed in the shop.41.4 GENERALa. No claim will be entertained in case the work is stopped (after start) on any day due to anyreason. In this regard, the decision of the site engineer will be final and binding on the party.b. Estimated weight of the steel and cast iron scrap of cupola no.3 and associated structures is60T which may vary from actual weight by ±15%.
