James CancerHospital, Columbus.She was born on Dec. 17,1941, in Lancaster to Floyd andBetty J. Hanna Baird. Ruth wasa salesperson for Sears for 25years. She was a member of St.Mark Church, Lancaster, andshe enjoyed traveling and especially shopping.Ruth is survived by her daughter, Catherine M. (Richard) Dardis ofCarroll; son, John M. (Holly A.) Robitzer of Lancaster; grandson,Austin M. Robitzer of Lancaster; father and mother, Floyd and BettyBaird of Lancaster; brother, Floyd "Stretch" (Marlene) Baird of Lancaster; sister, Mary J. Rhoades ofLancaster; brother and sister-in-laws, Richard and Phyllis Robitzer of Carroll, Nick and Ellen Shaw ofAmanda, and David and Loretta Leohner of Rockbridge; special cousins, Charles and Ellen Steinmetz ofLancaster; and several aunts and uncle, nieces and nephews.Her husband, John M. "Jack" Robitzer, preceded her in death.Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark Church, Lancaster, withinternment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday atSheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster. A vigil service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu offlowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, or thedonor's choice.
