Dustemissions from project activities, including vehicle movements, stockpiles <strong>and</strong> waste disposalmay deposit on vegetation foliage <strong>and</strong> result in vegetation deaths in the long term.• Potential impact from groundwater drawdown in the Project Area on groundwater dependentvegetation. Changes to local hydrogeology is likely to impact deep rooted perennial speciesthat are reliant on groundwater for survival. The area of potential groundwater drawdown isexpected to be up to 5 km from the mine pits after 10 years of mining (Aquiterra, MineDewatering Survey Report, 2004).
