The Mäori name of the programme literally translates to ‘star compass’. This signifies thesophisticated navigation system necessary to get us to where we want to go.Our roles in New Zealand’s Official Statistics SystemAs leader of the OSS we:· ensure that New Zealand gets the information it needs

Summary of your roleResponsibilities:Reporting to the Manager, Organisation Strategy and <strong>Performance</strong>, the <strong>Performance</strong> <strong>Information</strong> <strong>Analyst</strong> isresponsible for driving the development and continuous improvement of performance measurement (KPIs) withinthe organisation, as part of an organisation-wide <strong>Business</strong> <strong>Intelligence</strong> project.Attention to detail, a strong work ethic and ability to deliver complex projects are critical for success in thisposition.The <strong>Performance</strong> <strong>Information</strong> <strong>Analyst</strong>:- is responsible for the development, implementation and continued management of performance measurementtools and analysis, including capability building such as forecasting.- will work closely with teams from across the business to develop performance measurement.- will have significant and continuous engagement with the Senior Leadership team.The <strong>Performance</strong> <strong>Information</strong> <strong>Analyst</strong> is responsible for:· Developing and maintaining business metrics for the organisation covering all aspects of the business· Leading the development of performance tools to be used by the organisation to facilitate discussionand performance improvement at the leadership level· Ensuring all measures and associated targets are communicated, measured, tracked and regularlyreviewed· Providing support to teams, support functions and senior management relating to business analysis oftrends and results· Maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders (both internal and external) to ensurereporting is effective, timely and value-addedYou will be accountable for the work you do, and contribute positively to the values and outcomes outlined in ourstrategic plans, including Statistics 2020 Te Kāpehu Whetū, and our Statement of Intent.You will report to Manager, Organisation Strategy and <strong>Performance</strong>.
