Ensto delivers a good fitFOR BATTERY TECHNOLOGYStory MARK WOODScaseEnsto recently assisted in the creation ofa custom-made battery enclosure solutionfor use in demanding hospital environments.The battery manufacturer,Finnish Electric Vehicle Technologies(FEVT), which researches and developsenergy storage systems using a newgeneration of lithium ion batteries,needed a good solution and fast.Jukka Riekkinen, Sales Director for Enclosuresand Components at Ensto explained thatFEVT initially approached Ensto looking for apartner able to create a robust and technicallyreliable solution within short timeframe.With timing as such a critical issue, bothcompanies had to work in close synchronisationto bring the project to completion.Ensto’s design time took about 3 weeks.“For such a complex design, the timetablewas a fast one since the customer was developingtheir product at the same time.
