This section is also concernedwith outcomes for the children.It links the key themes emerging from the literature reviewwith the perspectives and experiences of young parentsin Northern Tasmania. This includes discussions withteenage parents through the focus groups, individualinterviews and discussions with the service providerswho work with them.The key themes emerging from both the literature andconsultations about teenage parenting are:• Support structures and needs;• Changing relationships, including family and peers;• Single parenting;• Education-pathways to future employment;• Aspirations for the future;• Inclusive communities – feeling judged; and• Outcomes for children.76
