n CLASS OF 1992
Twenty years was celebrated by half of our
class and their guests last May and what a
great gathering it was! Those who chose not
to attend or couldn’t make it were deeply
missed. There was a sense of family closeness
in the air, as each had a chance to express
their thoughts and experiences to the
group. There was a consensus that although
dental school was tough, the profession we
have chosen is rewarding in different areas
and indeed a daily challenge.
Dr. Marty Anderson, Dr. Earl Sommers,
Dr. John Townsend and Dr. Ed Gordon were

at the event and honored to be remembered
and revered. They shared their appreciation
with our class members and invited them to
be active participants in volunteering their
time and skill in teaching at the School of
Dentistry. They shared with us that it was a
crucial time for the school and to support it
financially with donations or to simply help
out in the clinic. The UW School of Dentistry
is still recognized nationally as one of the top
educational institutions and a leader among
research results. It has always relied on the
support of alumni and their generosity.
The event was held on campus at the
new Foege Building in the Vista Cafe. The
venue sported a beautiful second-floor patio
with a fantastic view of the Montlake Cut and
Lake Union. The weather was perfect, the
food fabulous and the conversations priceless.
The Class of 1992’s very own Hunter-
Schraeger Band (minus Jeff Nelson) reunited
the day before and played for four hours,
rehashing rock ’n’ roll classics. They promise
to perform at the 25th-year reunion event
with special guest appearances! Rumor has
it that even Dr. Don Mills will make the event.
We can hardly wait!
Thanks to all who attended. It was so great
to see you all! For those organizing future
class reunions, I encourage you to pull out
all the stops and reunite at the Vista Cafe on
campus: first-class location, excellent cater-

n CLASS OF 2002
The Class of 2002 had its 10th reunion
on June 16 at the Vista Café on the UW
campus. In the years since dental school,
our class has spread out across the Pacific
Northwest and beyond to pursue our careers,
but we have not forgotten each other.
Whether by Facebook or by more traditional
means, many of us have kept in touch with
our classmates over the years. Turnout at
the reunion was, not surprisingly, high with
18 alumni attending, plus spouses and families.
It was a wonderful chance to reconnect
in person, to reflect on the last 10 years and
to renew our friendships. I am privileged to
be a member of this class and look forward
to our 20th reunion. – Dr. Natasha Habib
n CLASS OF 2007
The Class of 2007 had a great five-year
reunion during PNDC weekend. It was wonderful
to see everyone again and catch up.
We had perfect weather on the waterfront
on South Lake Union. It was all made possible
by a generous donation from the Dental
Alumni Association and the hard work of Dr.
Andrew Gilbreath. Thank you to everyone
who came out. Can’t wait for the 10-year!
