TEAM ESAU MEMBER #2: Fine! Here’s the birthright. (H<strong>and</strong>s birthright to TEAM JACOB.) Now how about somestew?(Music plays as both teams eat stew. Teams set down their bowls as DAN <strong>and</strong> ISAAC enter. DAN helps ISAAC to thechair, then takes his place between the teams. Music fades.)DAN: I hope you had a restful night because today is the final challenge. You will be competing for the blessing ofOld Father <strong>Isaac</strong>! (Motions toward ISAAC.)DAN: Team Esau holds a distinct advantage at this point of the game because they possess the birthright.(TEAM ESAU shifts uncomfortably as TEAM JACOB smiles <strong>and</strong> winks.)DAN: Let’s begin. This challenge will be a relay. Teams must hunt for game, prepare a stew, <strong>and</strong> present it to <strong>Isaac</strong>.The first team to present the stew to <strong>Isaac</strong> wins the blessing <strong>and</strong> the game. On your mark, get set, go!(TEAM ESAU picks up their bow <strong>and</strong> leaves the stage quickly. TEAM JACOB st<strong>and</strong>s around looking confused.)TEAM JACOB MEMBER #1: (Picks up a bow.) I don’t know what we’re going to do. I’m not good with this thing.TEAM JACOB MEMBER #2: I have an idea . . . Let’s cheat.TEAM JACOB MEMBER #1: Cheat? How?TEAM JACOB MEMBER #2: (Holds up a bowl.) I have some stew leftover from last night!TEAM JACOB MEMBER #3: (Holds up extra TEAM ESAU armb<strong>and</strong>s.) I just whipped these up from some leftoveryarn. If we wear them, <strong>Isaac</strong> won’t know it’s us!TEAM JACOB MEMBER #1: Great plan! Let’s go!(Music plays. TEAM JACOB presents their stew to ISAAC. ISAAC puts his h<strong>and</strong> up <strong>and</strong> blesses them. DAN begins to shaketheir h<strong>and</strong>s as the real TEAM ESAU returns to the stage. Music fades.)TEAM ESAU MEMBER #1: (Looking confused.) What just happened?DAN: Your team won!TEAM ESAU MEMBER #2: (Points to TEAM JACOB.) That’s not our team! That’s Team Jacob! They cheated!DAN: If that’s true, then there’s only one thing I can do. Team Jacob, remove your armb<strong>and</strong>s. You may have wonthe blessing, but for now you must leave the l<strong>and</strong>.
