What is something you enjoy doing? Allow kids torespond to this <strong>and</strong> the following questions. What is something you are good at?Are we all good at the same thing? We’re going to read about brothers who aregood at different things.Divide the kids into groups of four. Decide which one of you would like to playthe mom, <strong>Rebekah</strong>; the dad, <strong>Isaac</strong>; <strong>and</strong> the brothers, Jacob <strong>and</strong> Esau. H<strong>and</strong> outSpark Story Bibles to the kids <strong>and</strong> help them find <strong>Isaac</strong>’s Blessing on pages 42-45.Encourage kids to follow along as you read, while acting out their parts with theirteammates.Point to the pictures on pages 42-43 of the Spark Story Bible. What were thenames of the two brothers? (Jacob <strong>and</strong> Esau) Which brother was born first?(Esau) Which brother received a blessing from <strong>Isaac</strong>? (Jacob) Which brotherwould you like to be? Allow kids to respond.Esau was a good hunter. Jacob was a good leader. God loved both of the brotherseven though they were different.
