iv. The total geological reserve is 98.24 MT. The mineable reserve is 79.62 MT, extractablereserve is 71.66 MT. The per cent <strong>of</strong> extraction would be 90 %.v. The coal grades is 2552 kcal/kg having stripping ratio <strong>of</strong> 1:14.33 m3/t. The average Gradientis 1 in 11 to 1 in 7. There will be total 5 to 8 seams with thickness ranging from 0.5 m andabove.vi. The total estimated water requirement is 0.46 MGD. The level <strong>of</strong> ground water ranges from64 to 75 m bgl.vii. The Method <strong>of</strong> mining would be opencast mining with shovel- dumper technology.a. 60 m high dump with four decks (4x15m)b. Two Dumps namely D1 & D2. The seasonal data for ambient air quality has been documented and all results at all stationsare within prescribed limits.x. The life <strong>of</strong> mine is 36 Years.xi. Transportation: Transportation <strong>of</strong> coal from pit to lignit handling area (LHP) at surfacethrough Dumper and from LHP to TPS through conveyor.xii. There is no R & R involved. There are 62 nos <strong>of</strong> PAFs.xiii. Cost: Total capital cost <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> project is Rs. 461.52 Crore. The cost <strong>of</strong> production would beRs. 1896.98 /tones (avg). CSR Cost (Capital cost: Rs.2.15 / tonne <strong>of</strong> Coal. R&R Cost Rs. 4.88crore. Environmental Management Cost is Rs. 31.28 crore.xiv. Approvals: Ground water clearance obtained on 28.03.2011. The Mine Closure approvalobtained on 05.06.2009. Date <strong>of</strong> approval <strong>of</strong> mine plan is 05.06.2009 .Boards approvalobtained on 03.09.2009.xv. Wildlife issues: There are no national Parks, wildlife sanctuary, biosphere reserves found in<strong>the</strong> 10 km buffer zone.xvi. Forestry issues: Total forest area involved for mining 50.60 ha. Extent <strong>of</strong> forest land in <strong>the</strong>project is 52.245 ha. (for revised pit).xvii. Total afforestation plan shall be implemented covering an area <strong>of</strong> 1409 ha at <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong>mining where reclaimed external OB dump is 626 Ha and Internal OB Dump 711 ha. GreenBelt over an area <strong>of</strong> 72 ha. Density <strong>of</strong> tree plantation 1500 to 2000 trees/ ha <strong>of</strong> plants.xviii. There are no court cases/violation pending with <strong>the</strong> project proponent.xix. Public Hearing was held on 23.12.2009 at Kolayat Tehsil Office near Project Site, BikanerRajasthan. The issues raised in <strong>the</strong> PH were regarding compensation, social care for public,priority as per eligibility and qualification etc.2.8.5 The proponent fur<strong>the</strong>r informed that:i. Backfilling <strong>the</strong> final mine void upto 57m below ground level i.e water table level (+144mlevel) has been examined in due consideration <strong>of</strong> leaving <strong>the</strong> khejri trees/plants found in <strong>the</strong>sou<strong>the</strong>rn forest patch. After leaving <strong>the</strong> entire sou<strong>the</strong>rn forest patch and <strong>the</strong> adjoining areas,which are not amenable for mining, <strong>the</strong> now proposed mine pit boundary has beenaccordingly marked..a. The final mine void details for <strong>the</strong> above mine pit boundary are as follows:b. Maximum depth <strong>of</strong> final mine void: 165 mc.
