These events were a chance for our audienceto hear the director, cast and other members of the creativeteam discuss the process of creating the production helpingcontextualise the experience for the audience. Each eventconcluded with a question and answer session between theaudience and the artists.Night with the ArtistsIn <strong>2004</strong>, a Night with the Artists was held for each of thenine mainstage productions. The cast and/or creatives fromthe show made themselves available on stage after theperformance for discussion and questions from the audienceabout the production.PlayreadingsIn <strong>2004</strong>, Season Ticket Holders were given complimentarytickets to a number of rehearsed play readings whichincluded The Works, which in <strong>2004</strong> included the short-listedscripts for The <strong>Queensland</strong> Premier’s Drama Award - <strong>Theatre</strong>and Public Life and the Young Playwrights’ Award.24 & UnderThe <strong>Company</strong> continues its focus on giving young peopleaccess to live theatre and to developing this importantaudience. In <strong>2004</strong>, the <strong>Company</strong> continued its special ticketprice for anyone 24 & Under of $17 per ticket, available for allperformances except for The Venetian Twins which was $20.Youth ticket sales increased by 70% from 2003.34A n n u a l R e p o r tAudience ResearchIn <strong>2004</strong>, <strong>Queensland</strong> <strong>Theatre</strong> <strong>Company</strong> provided detailedaudience data to Arts <strong>Queensland</strong>, along with other Brisbanearts organisations, for a market research report intoaudience trends in the performing arts in Brisbane between1996 and 2002.Arts <strong>Queensland</strong>’s research initiative was informed by arecommendation stated in the Major Performing Arts Inquiry<strong>Report</strong> (1999).Ticket Prices and Special ConcessionsThe company is committed to providing affordable andaccessible theatre.
