Kathleen Buckalew began her work as aphotographer for the <strong>Design</strong> & Exhibition Department <strong>of</strong>the National Gallery <strong>of</strong> <strong>Art</strong>. She has won numerous awardsfor her work, including a fellowship from the <strong>Delaware</strong> Division<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Art</strong>s; a resident fellowship at the Virginia Center for theCreative <strong>Art</strong>s <strong>and</strong> was named the McKinstry Scholar by the<strong>Delaware</strong> Heritage Commission in 2005 for her continuingwork on her project <strong>of</strong> documenting farmers in <strong>Delaware</strong>(now in the process <strong>of</strong> becoming a book). She has exhibitedher work across the U.S. In 2011, Ms. Buckalew was one <strong>of</strong>the artists included in the book, “100 <strong>Art</strong>ists <strong>of</strong> the Br<strong>and</strong>ywineValley.” She is a member <strong>of</strong> the Diamond State Branch <strong>of</strong>the National League <strong>of</strong> American Pen Women, the <strong>Delaware</strong>Press Association, <strong>Delaware</strong> Center for the Contemporary<strong>Art</strong>s, the Center for the Creative <strong>Art</strong>s, <strong>and</strong> is an active member<strong>of</strong> a group she co-founded, called the Br<strong>and</strong>ywine PhotoCollective. Currently, Ms. Buckalew is the staff photographerfor the Hagley Museum <strong>and</strong> Library in Wilmington.RANDY CIURLINOMS, University <strong>of</strong> Massachusetts. R<strong>and</strong>y has been engaged inphotography for 25 years working pr<strong>of</strong>essionally, freelancing<strong>and</strong> doing personal work.SANDRO CUCCIABS, University <strong>of</strong> <strong>Delaware</strong>. While the bulk <strong>of</strong> S<strong>and</strong>ro’s careerhas been in Information Technology at the duPont Company,he has been involved in photography for over forty years,starting as his high school yearbook photographer. Sinceleaving duPont in 2002, S<strong>and</strong>ro has been working as acommercial <strong>and</strong> award-winning fine-art photographer <strong>and</strong>Apple Consultant working out <strong>of</strong> his home-based digitalstudio. Since 2007, S<strong>and</strong>ro has designed <strong>and</strong> taught digitalphotography, Photoshop, <strong>and</strong> computer courses at the OsherLifelong Learning Institute at the University <strong>of</strong> <strong>Delaware</strong> inWilmington. He has led public photography discussions atLongwood Gardens, has presented several photographytopics at the <strong>Delaware</strong> Photographic Society, <strong>and</strong> has led<strong>Delaware</strong> Photo Walks as part <strong>of</strong> the Annual Scott Kelby WorldWide Photo Walk. S<strong>and</strong>ro holds several technical certificationsfrom Adobe <strong>and</strong> Apple.SUSAN ELLISBA, English/Humanities, Rutgers University; MS, Biology/Behavioral Ecology, York University. Susan’s photographicwork focuses on the small. Her images have been reproducedin government, trade <strong>and</strong> public publications. Current projectsinclude a book <strong>of</strong> insect images <strong>and</strong> several exhibits.www.bugsinthesystem.netRANDLE REEDBFA in Photography, Pratt Institute; AFA in Photography,DCAD. R<strong>and</strong>le has experienced the wide spectrum <strong>of</strong> tradethat photography has to <strong>of</strong>fer, from working as a weddingphotographer to assisting an editorial photographer forPaper Magazine. He works primarily in large format <strong>and</strong>digital captures simultaneously.LEON SYFRITAFA, <strong>Delaware</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Art</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Design</strong>. Leon is awell-traveled <strong>Delaware</strong> native who has studied philosophy,fine art,viticulture <strong>and</strong> photography.
