He has over 16 years experience at senior levelin industry and as a consultant, largely concerned with the assessment andmanagement of environmental issues and the interactions betweenbusiness needs, scientific issues and understanding, legislation andregulatory policy, public and political expectations.196. He is an invited independent member of the National Dose AssessmentWorking Group, concerned with methodologies for assessing doses to thepublic from radioactivity in the environment. He acts as peer reviewer formany scientific journals in the fields of radiation protection, dosimetry,radioecology and occupational medicine197. His experience includes:Direction of industrially focused R&D in the environmental and lifesciences.All aspects of practical health physics, including radioactivitymeasurement, dose assessment, environmental monitoring,occupational exposure control, discharge assessment and emergencypreparedness.Interpretation of occupational and environmental epidemiologicaldata.
