UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO FOUNDATIONSome of our bright andtalented student callers whoreach out to build support forthe CU Fund.Every Gift MattersFor Marletta Meister Ulrich, (Bus ’68, MS ’71) giving to the annualCU Fund drive is a matter of “supporting my alma mater so thatother lives will be enriched by a CU experience.” With a 29-yearhistory of consecutive annual fund support, Marletta is one of 22,664donors who responded when a student caller requested a gift thispast year.When alumni, parents, and friends of CU donate to the CU Fund,they are making an important and immediate impact. These criticalcontributions, totaling $2.1 million last year, grant scholarship supportto immediately benefit students, provide discretionary funding nototherwise available, and enable deans to address priority needs ina timely basis.Lorrie Shepard ’72, Professor and Dean of CU-Boulder’s School ofEducation, is both a beneficiary and a regular contributor to theCU Fund.“Annual contributions have an enormous impact on both the School ofEducation and the university as a whole.
