INTERNATIONAL DANCE MOSAIC
SUNDAY DECEMBER 3RD. 1995
Program and Lighting suggestions
PROGRAM
PART I
Enter Piper and two highland dancers enter through auditorim. (Easy stage access)
Music- Any suitable march
Lighting- The lights in the auditorium should be dimmed, leaving just enough for the dancers and piper to see the
way to the stage - unless there is a follow spot! ·
WILT THOU COME TO THE BARRACKS JOHNNIE?
Highland Gary/Fred Pipes/ Drum ?
Lighting - All three will be well towards the front of the stage and fairly central. We need good light on them.
If the rear cyclorama is in use, red, perhaps graduated from dark at the bottom to light at the top, is a
good choice for this and the next dance, as both have a military connection.
Exit
Enter
Stage right (to drum - If we have a bhodran player)
Stage left - lead on as highland dancers exit
HEY JOHNNY COPE
Voice- drum
Chris
Mikkel
Dave
Sue
Cecilia
Ellen
Lighting - this dance uses six dancers in two lines, end on to the audience, center to front stage.
Full stage lighting in that area, plus a spot on the singer would be ideal
Exit
Stage left -as hard shoe dancers enter.
Enter
Alan - stage right : Jennifer - stage left . Run on and off:
EARL OF EROLL- Hard shoe Band
Lighting Two dancers only, front stage center. Little movement. Two large spots or limited area lighting best.
Cyclorama- rainbow colors? Very upbeat, lively dance. Short- 2 mins max.
Exit
Same side as entry.
