narrative | proposalThe duration of my studies at North Dakota State University, I have developed two major passions: design (specifically in thefield of Landscape Architecture) and healthy food and its importance. This thesis proposal is finding a way to bridge these twoideas into a single concept that could provide some validity and support through a design solution for a real problem happeningthe Fargo-Moorhead community.This project is intended to engage and open a dialogue between the residents, key personnel working in fields related to ourcurrent food system, policy makers, local food producers, and other interested stakeholders to evaluate the current farmer’smarket system. Essentially, bringing these key people together and introducing the concept of a more permanent market venuethat will benefit the Fargo-Moorhead local food system and truly cater to the market experience for vendors and customers.9
