Biographical Sketch<br />

Subhash Kak was born in Srinagar,<br />

Kashmir and educated at Kashmir<br />

University and the Indian Institute of<br />

Technology, Delhi, completing his PhD<br />

at the latter in 1970. He joined the faculty<br />

of the Indian Institute of Technology,<br />

Delhi, in 1971 and moved to Louisiana<br />

State University in 1979 where he is<br />

currently a professor of electrical and<br />

computer engineering.<br />
